Client Services Manager

America Michael joined Senn Delaney's client services team in 2010, bringing vital skills in project and event management and client relationship management to her role as direct liaison with clients and Senn Delaney consultants in all aspects of culture-shaping engagements.

Prior to joining Senn Delaney, she was director of events at ASL Recycling, an electronic waste collection and recycling company. She implemented a widely attended recycling program that produced significant revenue while greening the environment. In this role, America developed new business and fostered relationships with a wide range of organizations, including the City of Santa Barbara, Univision, Los Angeles Unified School District, Heal the Bay and SEMI. She planned and executed Southern California recycling events and maintained all event marketing materials and Web and promotional materials and communications. America also led speaking engagements to raise awareness about the benefits of electronic waste recycling and create fundraising opportunities with businesses, schools, cities and non-profit organizations.

America has also served as marketing manager and sales account executive for RSVP Publications, an upscale, cooperative direct-mail company in San Carlos, CA. She was responsible for new business sales, client management and retention, and creative design and distribution strategy.

Growth and self-reflection have been an important part of America's life since she became involved in a self-awareness and growth program as a pre-teenager in Asilomar, CA. She continues this self-improvement exploration through books, courses and leadership and coaching seminars.

America received a 95-percent academic scholarship and grants to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Menlo College in Atherton, CA. Born in Hawaii where she spent her early years, America was given her name by parents who envisioned her to be like America — embracing of all races and cultures. (The expression “I AM RACE” is contained in the word America).

She enjoys sun, beach and warm climates, travel, cooking, hiking, yoga and karaoke. America lives in Manhattan Beach, CA, with her partner, emergency medical physician Mandaar Gokhale, M.D.
